R07 - The Open University Students Association in Yorkshire

The Assembly is a group of students who volunteer their time to meet and discuss issues affecting students in the region. We consist of officers and representatives of students in the region, as well as a member of the Central Executive Committee.

The Central Executive Committee Member for Yorkshire is Wendy White: I have been a student since 1992, and have continued ever since having found OU study highly addictive. I have studied courses across most faculties, but mostly in social sciences. I am, however, just starting out on a new set of courses with the intention of coming away with a BA (hons) in History. I began my involvement in OUSA in 2003 with the regeneration of my local branch in Wakefield, going on to be elected Treasurer and a representative on our Regional Forum, as it was at the time. Now that I am elected CECM for the region, I look forward to working with the students of the region, as well as the rest of the CEC, in working through the issues surrounding students and OU study, especially in these changing times.contact Wendy
