The East of England Region covers Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Herts and Bedfordshire, containing about 23000 students (12% of the total). It covers a large area with distances between large town of the order of 30 miles and, with present fuel costs, travelling long distances to meetings is not popular. We are trying to evolve a more localised group/branch structure based on smaller areas but not requiring anyone to take on the chores of officer posts so that students can meet face to face for a moan or natter or voice their thoughts online - On first class, look for O U S A East of England under O U S A Regions and nested under that you should find a number of towns listed, one of which may not be too far from you. Please post and say hello - we promise not to try to persuade you to be chair secretary or treasurer (unless you want to be one, of course).
The Regional Forum is a group
of students who volunteer their time to meet and discuss issues affecting
students in the region. We consist of officers and representatives of
branches in the region, as well as a member of the Executive Committee. Branches
